UAE-born gifting brand puts curation, presentation and individuality ahead of simply filling a box with more products

The UAE has no shortage of gifting options. From elaborate flower arrangements to oversized hampers packed with products, finding a gift is rarely the problem. Finding one that actually feels personal can be.

This gap is what newly launched UAE gifting brand Giftribute wants to address. Founded by Siyana Shefeek, Giftribute has entered the UAE gifting market with a deliberately different philosophy: a memorable hamper should not be judged by how many products can be fitted inside it, but by how thoughtfully the entire gift has been put together.

“Somewhere along the way, gifting became a numbers game,” Siyana says. “You see hampers advertised with ten, fifteen or twenty items, but having more things inside a box does not necessarily make the gift more meaningful. We wanted to go back to the reason people give gifts in the first place: to make someone feel considered.”

Less About Filling a Hamper, More About Curating One

At the heart of Giftribute is curation. Rather than working from a standard template and repeatedly producing the same arrangement, the company says its hampers are individually designed by its creative team, with attention given not only to the products selected but also to how they work together and how the recipient experiences the gift when it is opened.

The approach can be seen across collections created for women and men, babies and toddlers, children and occasions ranging from birthdays and anniversaries to baby showers, first birthdays, back-to-school gifting, get-well wishes and office gifting.

For Siyana, presentation is not something that comes after the products have been chosen. It is part of the gift itself.

“When someone receives a beautiful hamper, they don’t know what each individual item cost, and that shouldn’t be what matters,” Siyana explains. “What they immediately understand is that somebody made an effort. The colours, the arrangement, the products and the message should all come together and say, ‘Someone thought about me.’ That feeling is what we are trying to create.”

What Goes Into a Giftribute Hamper?

What goes inside varies considerably depending on who the hamper is designed for. Rather than using the same collection of products across different occasions, Giftribute builds each design around the recipient, bringing together items that are intended to be useful, enjoyable and visually cohesive.

Across the collection, customers will find combinations that can include self-care and wellness products, drinkware, stationery and desk accessories, games and activity items for children, and practical care and play products for babies and toddlers. The selection changes from one design to another, with the contents chosen to suit the age, occasion and character of the hamper rather than to reach a predetermined item count.

The result is that two hampers at a similar price point may look and feel quite different, depending on the person they have been created for.

    Designed in Small Numbers

Perhaps the clearest expression of that philosophy is Giftribute’s decision to deliberately limit how many times an individual hamper design is produced.

The company says its hampers are designed by hand, one at a time, rather than being assembled from a mass-production template. Only a small number of each design is produced before the collection moves on.

That means a popular design disappearing from the website is not necessarily an inventory problem. In many cases, it simply will not be reproduced.

We don’t want you to give someone a hamper and then have them receive exactly the same one from somebody else a week later. If gifting is supposed to feel personal, producing hundreds of identical gifts defeats the purpose.”

    Siyana Shefeek, Founder of Giftribute

It is an unusual decision in an industry where scale normally means standardisation. For Giftribute, however, scarcity is intentional.

The brand’s position is simple: a gift should feel chosen, not picked off an assembly line.

Thinking About the Recipient, Not Just the Buyer

The philosophy becomes particularly apparent in Giftribute’s children’s, toddler and newborn collections.

Rather than treating younger recipients as another gifting category to fill with generic products, the hampers are curated around age, usefulness and the experience of both children and parents.

A toddler hamper, for example, can combine items intended to encourage play and discovery with practical products parents can genuinely use. Newborn collections similarly focus on presentation while incorporating products suited to a family’s new arrival.

“We ask ourselves what happens after the hamper is opened,” Siyana says. “Will the child actually use these things? Will something make life a little easier for the parents? Will the recipient remember any of it? A beautiful unboxing is important, but thoughtful gifting has to go beyond the first five minutes.”

Using AI to Help Choose the Right Gift

Giftribute is also using technology to address another familiar problem with gifting: knowing what to choose in the first place.

The website includes an AI-powered shopping assistant that customers can talk to about the person they are buying for, the occasion, their budget and the kind of gift they have in mind. The assistant can use that information to help narrow the available choices and guide customers towards hampers that better fit the recipient.

It is designed to make the process feel less like scrolling through a catalogue and more like asking for help in a gift shop and also replies in any language including Arabic. A customer unsure what to buy for a colleague, a new parent or a child of a particular age, for example, can simply describe who the gift is for and what they are looking for rather than having to work through every collection themselves.

For Giftribute, it is another extension of the same idea behind the hampers themselves: making the eventual choice feel considered, even when the customer is not quite sure where to begin.

    Making Premium Gifting More Accessible

Giftribute is also attempting to remove some of the practical friction associated with gifting. Customers in the UAE can use Tabby at checkout, allowing eligible purchases to be split into instalments rather than paid entirely upfront.

Siyana says the decision was about giving customers greater flexibility, particularly when purchasing more substantial gifts.

“Thoughtfulness shouldn’t suddenly become inaccessible because somebody wants to choose a more premium hamper,” Siyana says.

The brand is also offering free delivery across the UAE, while selected products carry introductory launch discounts.

A Personal Message Comes With Every Gift

Every Giftribute hamper also includes a complimentary greeting card, with customers able to provide their own personalised message.

“A hamper can be beautiful, but the words are often the most personal part,” Siyana says. “If you’re sending someone a gift, you should be able to tell them why.”

    An Alternative to Mass-Produced Gifting

Giftribute enters a busy UAE gifting industry, but Siyana is not trying to compete by building the biggest hampers or claiming the longest product lists.

The ambition is almost the opposite.

The company wants to establish a more considered form of gifting, where fewer, better-chosen elements and thoughtful presentation can carry more meaning than sheer quantity.

That distinction is reflected in the brand’s own philosophy: “Never gift ordinary. Basic is boring.”

For Siyana, however, being different for its own sake is not the objective.

“We aren’t trying to make hampers complicated,” Siyana says. “We’re trying to make gifting feel thoughtful again. You should be able to choose something beautiful, write what you want to say and have it arrive looking like you personally spent hours putting it together.”

And perhaps that is Giftribute’s real proposition.

In a market where almost anything can be ordered and delivered within hours, convenience is no longer particularly unusual. Making someone believe you genuinely thought about them still is.

Giftribute is now available across the UAE, with curated hampers for babies, toddlers, children, women, men and a growing range of occasions. Selected products are currently available with launch offers, alongside complimentary UAE-wide delivery and a personalised greeting card with every hamper.
