Her Highness Sheikha Shamma bint Sultan bin Khalifa Al Nahyan, President and CEO of Frontier25 and The Climate Tribe, and Chairwoman of Alliances for Global Sustainability, RESET MENA and Aurora50, read her latest children’s book, WHOOSH! A Story About the Sounds of Safety to a group of children and families at the Abu Dhabi Children’s Library, as part of the UAE’s We Will Emerge Stronger initiative.

WHOOSH! was inspired by the need to communicate with children in an age-appropriate way when unfamiliar sounds may cause confusion or fear. The story highlights how, in uncertain times, families come together, communities look after each other, and heroes protect us all.

Her Highness Sheikha Shamma bint Sultan bin Khalifa Al Nayhan said: “The We Will Emerge Stronger initiative unites all of us in looking to the future with hope and courage, and the next generation are key to how our communities grow and thrive. I hope WHOOSH! gives parents and children a moment to reflect, communicate, and feel safe.”

The book offers a gentle narrative for navigating questions that are not always easy to answer, providing a comforting space for conversation and bringing clarity, calm, and reassurance when it is needed most.
