Under the direction of the President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President, Deputy Prime Minister and Chairman of the Presidential Court issued a decision to appoint H.H. Sheikha Mariam bint Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan as chairperson of Zayed Education Foundation.

The UAE’s Child Digital Safety Council held its inaugural meeting on Thursday, marking a foundational step in establishing a coordinated national effort to protect children and support their balanced development in the digital world. Indian teacher Rouble Nagi was awarded the $1 million GEMS Education Global Teacher Prize 2026 during the World Governments Summit in Dubai. Now in its 10th year, the Global Teacher Prize is an initiative of the Varkey Foundation organised in collaboration with UNESCO. It is considered the largest award of its kind in the world.

A multi-year initiative to strengthen AI literacy education across Dubai’s private schools was launched at the World Governments Summit 2026. The initiative is a collaboration between DP World Foundation, the Knowledge and Human Development Authority (KHDA), and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology’s (MIT) Responsible AI for Social Empowerment and Education (RAISE).
