India’s Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has postponed the Class 10 and 12 board examinations scheduled for March 2, 2026, in seven Middle East countries considering the prevailing situation in the region. New dates will be announced later, the board said in a statement.
The exams have been postponed in several Middle Eastern countries, including Bahrain, Iran, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and the UAE.
The board said it would review the situation in a few days again and take a call on the other scheduled exams.
“The Board will review the situation on Tuesday, 03 March 2026, and take appropriate decisions with regard to examinations scheduled from 05 March onwards,” the official notice said.
Be Aware of Fake News
The official announcement was made after the CBSE debunked a fake circular on social media that claimed that certain board exams in the Middle East had been cancelled and that marks for these exams would be awarded on an alternative evaluation criteria.
