India’s Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has decided to cancel all Class 12 board examinations scheduled from March 16, 2026 till April 10, 2026 in the Middle East in light of the prevailing regional tensions.
The exams have been cancelled in the following countries: Bahrain, Iran, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and the UAE.
The feasibility of conducting board examinations for Class 12 was further reviewed based on inputs obtained and requests received from schools and authorities of the affected countries, according to a circular posted by CBSE on it’s social media.
The Board has accordingly decided the following:
- All examinations of Class XII scheduled from 16.03.2026 to 10.04.2026 stand cancelled in case of the students from Bahrain, Iran, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and the UAE.
- Examinations which were earlier postponed vide circular dated 01.03.2026, 03.03.2026, 05.03.2026, 07.03.2026 and 09.03.2026 shall also stand cancelled.
- The mode of declaration of results for Class XII candidates in these countries will be notified separately in due course.
