UAE’s early investments positioned it as global AI hub for computing capabilities: Al Olama
UAE’s early investments in large-scale data centres, cloud partnerships, and sovereign AI platforms enabled the country to be positioned as both a regional and global hub for computing capabilities, Omar Sultan Al Olama, UAE’S Minister of State for Artificial Intelligence, Digital Economy, and Remote Work Applications, said at the AI Impact Summit hosted in New Delhi.
The UAE has positioned itself as a leading AI market, with 42% of organizations now qualifying as AI Leaders, according to a new study. The report also reveals that UAE organizations not only match global peers but are demonstrating exceptional progress in enterprise-wide AI deployment.
Mohamed bin Zayed University of Artificial Intelligence launches The Academy, and AI x Arts fellowship
As it marks its five-year milestone, Mohamed bin Zayed University of Artificial Intelligence (MBZUAI) has launched The Academy, a global platform dedicated to disseminating cutting-edge AI knowledge and facilitating high-level exchange. The university has also announced its first AI x Arts Fellowship.
A multi-year initiative to strengthen AI literacy education across Dubai’s private schools was launched at the World Governments Summit 2026. The initiative is a collaboration between DP World Foundation, the Knowledge and Human Development Authority (KHDA), and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology’s (MIT) Responsible AI for Social Empowerment and Education (RAISE).
