The UAE Ministry of Education (MoE) and the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research (MoHESR) have announced early spring break for schools and universities in the UAE starting March 9, 2026 till March 22, 2026.

The break applies to all students and academic and administrative staff across public and private schools, as well as universities. Classes and official working hours will resume on Monday, 23 March 2026, said the announcement posted on social media.

According to the 2025-2026 UAE school calendar, the spring break was originally scheduled to start only on March 16.

Classes for schools and universities had moved online starting March 2 in light of the prevailing tensions in the region. It had been earlier announced that distance learning would continue until Friday March 6, 2026. However, the two ministries had said that they would closely monitor the current regional situation and take additional measures to safeguard the wellbeing of students and the country’s educational community.
