Come explore workshops hosted by Sharjah Public Libraries that bring together literature, photography, sound and visual arts in an interactive learning experience. Titled “Aesthetics of Image & Literary Sound”, the event being held on Monday, December 29th, is aimed at the youth delving into their creative side while learning new skills.

The programme features two hands-on workshops designed to introduce participants to contemporary artistic practices that bridge written texts with visual and auditory expression. The first workshop focuses on the fundamentals of audiovisual arts, showing how literary texts such as stories and poems can be transformed into photographic works. Participants will learn creative photography techniques including composition, lighting and framing, while exploring ways to extract visual ideas from written narratives.

The second workshop examines the relationship between text, sound and visual art. Through the analysis of selected literary texts, participants will explore how meaning, narrative and sound can be translated into modern visual and artistic expressions.

The event will take place on Monday, 29 December 2025, from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Kshisha Park in Al Rahmaniyah, Sharjah.

The event aims to encourage creative experimentation among young people while highlighting the evolving connections between literature and the visual arts.
